The Juntunens picked me up from Karkku on Saturday. Then we started the 6 hour drive to Kuhmo. These are pictures from the ride.

 Tampere
9 August 2006
On the Wednesday of language camp we were taken to Tampere. We had an hour long bus tour around the city, stopping once to go inside the Tampere Cathedral. Then we had the remainder of the afternoon to walk around the city and visit the different shops.

 Karkku Language Camp
6-12 August 2006
In Karkku all the exchange students went to a week long language camp. There we had the opportunity to learn the basics of Finnish culture, including sauna, candle church, kantele. We also learned to play Finnish games, including pesäpallo.

 Helsinki Airport
6 August 2006
All the Exchange Students flew into Helsinki. We were greeted by the Rotarians and then loaded onto buses for the two and a half hour drive to Karkku.
